DMCA & Copyright

1Our Commitment

SNIX respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the App to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the SNIX platform.

2Reporting Infringement

If you believe that content available on SNIX infringes your copyright, please send a written notice ("DMCA Notice") to our designated agent with all of the following:

1. Your contact information — full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list.
3. Identification of the infringing material — sufficient information to locate the material within the App (e.g., post ID, username, or URL if accessible via the share link feature).
4. Good faith statement — a statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. Accuracy statement — a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
6. Signature — your physical or electronic signature.

3What Happens Next

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Notice, we will:

• Review the notice for completeness within 72 hours
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
• Notify the user who posted the content that it has been removed
• Provide the user with information on how to file a counter-notice

Incomplete notices will not be acted upon. If your notice is missing required elements, we will contact you requesting the missing information.

4Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

1. Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
2. Identification of the removed content and its previous location
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of a Federal Court in your district
5. Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us they have filed legal action.

5Repeat Infringers

SNIX maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Users who receive three or more DMCA-valid takedowns will have their accounts permanently suspended.

6Abuse of the DMCA Process

Filing a false DMCA Notice is a serious matter that may result in legal liability. Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
